Wild Elf

Wild Elf Bio

The very rare Wild Elves are rarely seen by others, because they live in the heart of thick forests and they have incredible skill at keeping hidden. Also called green elves, their skin tends to be dark brown, and their hair ranges from black to light brown, lightening to silvery white with age.

Note: Wild Elf is a Subrace of Elves. To choose it you must pick Elf at creation and choose Wild Elf at first login.

Choosing the Elf race will include Elf adjustments already, therefore your stats will be adjusted from those selected at character creation as follows:

+2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, -2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma

Wild Elf Guide

Pros: Like the versatile Drow, the Wild Elf receives a couple of bonuses as well as penalties but with a significant distinction: the Wild Elf receives no Level Adjustment penalties. Leveling this character should therefore be much easier compared to its Drow counterpart.

The +2 to Dexterity proves to be useful for dexterity-based characters as well as gives an additional +1 to AC. The bonus +2 to Wisdom shows how Druid is a favorable class for such a race. Clerics can also be used since they capitalize on Wisdom.

The additional +2 to Hide, Move Silently, and Spot makes this class eligible for multiclassing with Rogues as well as Shadowdancers. Coupled with its innate Keen Sense, the Wild Elf can detect hidden enemies while maintaining mobility over the terrain.

Note that unlike other elven races the Wild Elf does not suffer a Constitution penalty.

Cons: To balance off the bonuses, a -2 reduction to Intelligence and Charisma can affect the character in minimal ways: it can reduce the skillpoints he receives and lower the effectiveness of certain Paladin, Bard, and Cleric abilities.

Conclusion: A very versatile race with a fair balance between bonuses and penalties. The bonuses are easy to leverage while the penalties are easy to minimise. Having no Level Adjustment gives the Wild Elf a significant boost to sum it up.
