Water Genasi
From Neversummer 4 Wiki
Water Genasi Bio
Water genasi are patient and slow to change, preferring to wear away opposition slowly, but are capable of great violence in extreme situations. They are most often neutral. All have one or more traits that reflect their quasi-elemental nature, such as lightly scaled skin, clammy flesh, blue-green skin or hair, or hair that waves as if underwater. They dress sparsely, preferring clothing that will not bind when in the water and ripples like waves when dry.

Water Genasi Guide
Water Genasi special ability:
Regeneration is equal to (character level / 10) + 1 every round. Affects self only. Duration of aura is 2 rounds per level.
The aura is empowered while drenched in rain or while in the Plane of Water, giving a spell resistance bonus of character level + 10.
However, if the aura enters cold, arctic climates (or if its snowing), the aura instead begins to bond to the skin of the Water Genasi, giving him/her damage reduction equal to (character level / 4 ) + 1. A +10 weapon (or greater) is needed to pierce through this icy coat.
Additionally, the aura is capable of extinguishing fire area of effects.
Finally, the water aura evaporates in dry, desert climates where no precipitation is present.
Note: newly created Water Genasi characters receive Water Genasi Ability token that is "self only" instead of requiring a target like the old Water Genasi token. Also, new Water Genasi tokens have the new description on them too. Previously created Water Genasi still have the old token (but with the new ability)...token may be swapped by a DM on request if you ask nicely...
Pros: Added constitution and wisdom adds to saving throws in addition to the +2 will saves. the cold immunity will help out tremendously in frostdale and immunity to drowning is very useful in the water plane.
Cons: As with the other Genasi, has ECL 2, alignment and domain restrictions. Loss of intelligence lowers skill points and dexterity is needed for ac by Monks.
Old Conclusion: The additional constitution and wisdom make this an appealing race for strength based Monks, Clerics (if you can handle the domain restriction), and Druids. With cold being the second most used element and no class granting immunity from it, that alone makes the ECL worth thinking about.
New Conclusion: The new ability will certainly help with making this race more attractive, nevertheless the ability boni and mali aren't that good for a monk. Still as it is not really tested yet, let's see if it is as good as it promises.
