Strongheart Halfling Bio

While the Lightfoot Halflings value the experience of travel and the sight of new lands and peoples, the Stronghearts are a more organized, orderly, and industrious race. They build to last, and fiercely defend their homelands against threats that their Lightfoot kin would simple flee. Non-Humans familiar with the easygoing ways of Halflings are surprised to learn that some Halflings are capable of a warrior tradition and are not afraid to show a hint of arrogance or confidence in their own abilities and strengths. Strongheart Halflings enjoy athletic contests and value exceptional skills of all kinds.

  • Favored Class: Fighter
  • +2 Constitution, -2 Wisdom
  • Bonus Feat: Weapon Finesse (this will appear on your feats list, but when gaining a feat at level-up it will show as that you have not chosen it yet; ignore this.)

Note: Strongheart Halfling is a Subrace of Halflings. To choose it you must pick Halfling at creation and choose Strongheart Halfling at first login.

Choosing the Halfling race will include Halfling adjustments already, therefore your stats will be adjusted from those selected at character creation as follows:

+2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, -2 Wisdom

Strongheart Halfling Guide

Pros: Receives a +2 to Strength (to make up for the -2 Halflings normall receive) along with a +2 to Constitution. Also Favored Class is Fighter, and considering the ability bonuses, these guys should make a good shorty Fighter. Also they receive Weapon Finesse for free upon creation. Also there is no ECL.

Cons: A -2 to Wisdom, but thats a dumpable stat. Also, the Standard Halfling's +2 bonus to Dexterity is taken away from Stronghearts (so technically, they receive a -2 to Dexterity). So if you look at it, they receive a -2 to Dexterity but Weapon Finesse as well.

Conclusion: Considering the negative to Dexterity, but the plus to Strength and Constitution, this definitely looks like a Dextrous Halfling Fighter build (which also happens to be the Favored Class). Even better, throw some Rogue in for all their good Skills. From there, you could go for Weapon Master, perhaps Shadowdancer, or something creative if you wish. I've also had an idea myself for a Barbarian/Rogue/Weapon Master, since Weapon Finesse is for free for Stronghearts. In this case, you can choose all the Weapon Master Feats, have Weapon Finesse, Blind Fight, and Improved Critical before level 20 (you could take something else in place of Blind Fight but I suggest that one) for a strong little shorty.
