Half-Ogre

Half-Ogre Bio
Although Humans and Ogre are not known for their romantic liaisons, they do occur (often less romantically than with elves and humans) and Half Ogres are often the result. Most Half Ogres are not accepted by their Ogre parent, as they are smaller, weaker and slower to mature than their brethren. This pushes them in turn towards Human society, where their great size and fearsome appearance gives them a modicum of respect, although they are still often judged harshly for their giant-kin roots. Those that cannot adapt to Human life find themselves uprooted, without kin, wandering alone or perhaps with a tribe of lesser humanoids.

Half-Ogre Guide
Pros: Much better than his Half-Orc counterpart, a +6 to Strength means a +3 to AB as well as a greater capacity to carry heavier items. Also, having more Strength gives the Half-Ogre to max out his Strength to a level that lets him earn better fighting feats once he reaches epic proportions. Some of these feats are: Mighty Rage, Overwhelming Critical, Terrifying Rage, and Thundering Rage.
The +2 in Constitution also provides the Half-Ogre with a higher survival rate compared to other races. A +2 to Fortitude saving throws is especially welcome to make the Half-ogre more tolerable to Fortitude-save spells. The extra 16 hp at level one gives the low-level character some extra time between healings.
Cons: Although the bonuses are quite remarkable, a Half-Ogre is even more brutish then he ever was. He receives a -2 to Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom as well as Charisma. This makes him have a -1 to AC, receive less skillpoints, and seriously indicates that he is not meant for spellcasting.
Aside from this, having a Level Adjustment of +1 makes the Half-Ogre harder to level compared to his Half-Orc counterpart.
Conclusion: A player must consider the penalties when developing a Half-Ogre. Its bonuses seriously leans toward a character capitalizing on Strength. Various classes such as Fighter or Weapon Master may benefit from this but a Barbarian fits such bonuses the most. Perhaps a player should try playing a Half-Ogre Red Dragon Disciple, quite a powerful combination to build a strength-based character.
